1.When does MTB Kerala Fourth Edition take place?

2. Where is the event?

This year MTB takes place in Kottur, Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala in India.

3. What is the entry fee?

A registration fee of Rs.500/- will be charged from state participants and Rs. 500/- will be charged from National elite riders for participation. The cash should be paid at the time of registration. Registration for international participants is free. The event is only open to male participants and national participants who wish to take part should submit a concerned letter from CFI (Cycling Federation of India).

4. What are the different categories?

There are two categories for this race:
International Cross Country
National Cross Country

5. Is the race open only to professionals?

Only valid UCI & CFI licensed nominees can be selected for both the national & international competition.

6. Is the race a team event or an individual event?

It is open to both individual riders and teams. But the event is open only to male participants.

7. How does one register for the race?

Online registration is available in the website. Those who wish to participate have to register the details on the Registration form available in the site.

8. Is a medical check up necessary?

Yes, it is mandatory for all to produce a medical certificate from a registered doctor, certifying that you are fit to ride in MTB Kerala.

9. What about insurance?

Where we deem that you do have your own insurance, the organizers get everyone involved with the race (riders, officials, marshals, support staff etc) insured for the duration of the race. This is directly done by the insurance company. The insurance covers you for any injury sustained during the race as specified in the policy document which will be made available to you at the time of the race.

10. Do I get some nutrition along the stages?

There are Nutrition Points at equivalent distances throughout the race course.

11. Is there any transportation available?

Free pick up has been arranged for the participants from Trivandrum International Airport and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station.

12. Is there any food and accommodation?

Riders will be facilitated with ground transportation, accommodation and meals from 14th to 16th February 2016.

Please read carefully the details given pertaining to the facilities which shall be provided to you:-

The MTB Kerala organizer will provide boarding & lodging for a maximum of 3 nights for 60 cyclists and local transportation will also be provided by the organizer.

  1. Accommodation - The participants will be provided with accommodation in the best available hotel near the location. The room shall be on sharing basis. In case there is only one rider from one team, the room may be shared with a member from a different team.
  2. Meals - Breakfast and dinner shall be served in the hotel. Lunch shall be served at the venue during the duration of the stay.
  3. Ground Transportation - Pick up and drop service to the airport will be provided for all participants.

14. Who organises MTB Kerala?

MTB kerala 2016 is organised by Govt of Kerala,Department of Tourism under the aegis of Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society and Cycling Federation of India.
